Let Go

In the most dreary of moments,

In the darkest hour of day,

There is release that exists

So that in moments, your worries all fall away.

When life overwhelms you

And you long for your hassles to cease,

Just dust off your saddle, pull on your boots

On the back of your horse, you’ll find peace.

When swinging up into the saddle

Your worries will stay on the ground.

For riding is an intricate rhythm

Where hoof beat and heartbeat resound.

Your horse will always let you know

If worries still clutter your mind.

With a bolt, or a buck, or a balky stop

You’ll think only of him, and your cares fall

Behind.

For as any horse would tell you,

You cannot fear the future nor dwell in the past.

You must live life in each moment

And be fully present to last.

So take comfort in the ears pricked forward

And find laughter in your mount’s playful buck.

See beauty in his soft brown eyes and flowing mane,

And no problem or worry will ever find you stuck.

So the next time the odds seem dead against you

And it feels like the end is near

Just drive out to Harmony Ranch and remember;

Once there, the world becomes clear.

Now take a deep breath of sweet horsey scent

And exhale all your worry and woe.

Step into your stirrup and flow with the rhythm

Of hoof beats and heartbeats

And let go.

Poems about horses MY MAN

My man is dark and tall

One would think I had it all.

No flowers or cards have come my way

But I'm still happy at the end of the day.

He does most things when asked,

He comes when called and completes most tasks.

He's the man in my life, what can I say?

I wouldn't have it any other way!

The Door of Grace  starstarstarstarstar
My old life is over but have a new start
A horse named Grace with such love in her heart
Kids off to College and so much more
But this little white ...

Always right there  starstarstarstarstar
While riding you my horse,
there is always some scare,
the thought of falling right out of the air,
but while upon your back,
I'm care free and taken,...

My Horse  starstarstarstarstar
My horse is the best,
the best of all,
he never leaves me not even for a ball,
he rides so smooth,
like a train rolling through,
and i have to clean ...

I Am Blessed  starstarstarstarstar
You see me
I feel your anxious moment
As you sense my breath
Approaching

I mount you
You sense my anxious moment
As I settle in
To know you
Yet ...

The Corner Stall  starstarstarstarstar
In the door and down the hall
Around the corner there is a stall
Every day I dream it is mine
For in it there is a horse so fine

I hear his clip ...

RIDE  starstarstarstarstar
A woolen blanket is placed upon her back
Throw on the saddle, adjust the straps
I mount my horse for a winter’s ride
On a cold, frosty day for a ride ...

FLY AWAY  starstarstarstarstar
OH HOW MUCH I WISH THIS DAY
TO JUMP ON A HORSE AND FLY AWAY
A CHESTNUT, A ROAN OR A BEAUTIFUL BAY
A SORREL, A BLACK, A FLEA BITTEN GREY

A COOL WIND ...

The Large Black Mare  Not rated yet
I will never forget that special day
She came to our barn to forever stay
She put on a brave face but I could tell
The long journey, confused, my heart ...

FLY AWAY  Not rated yet
OH HOW MUCH I WISH THIS DAY
TO JUMP ON A HORSE AND FLY AWAY
A CHESTNUT, A ROAN OR A BEAUTIFUL BAY
A SORREL, A BLACK, A FLEA BITTEN GREY

A COOL WIND ...
